Hurricane Mitigation Rules Effective
April 6, 2008 revisions to the Hurricane Mitigation rules went into force.
To help building departments, home owners and contractors with some of the language
and choices in the previous code changes, Rule 9B-3.0475 was adopted. This gives
owners an original choice of underlayment, clarification of nail types, clearer
language on underlayment requirements & roof to wall connections. These updates
are important to help clarify and define the original rulings and will help the
industry in the specifications of roofing.
